The beautiful scenery, excellent lakes, and numerous cultural and recreational
attractions
make the Berkshires an ideal summer camp setting. The perfect climate
of warm days and comfortable nights permits complete waterfront activities
throughout the entire summer.
The cultural center of America is located in the Berkshires during the summer months.
Conveniently close to all of our camps are such internationally known attractions as
the Tanglewood Music Festival, Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival, Berkshire Theater Festival,
and Williamstown Theater. This blend of art and entertainment that radiates through
this beautiful section of the country has become an important part of many of our
camp programs and has brought many former campers back to the region as summer
vacationers and second home owners.
The Berkshire camps are among the most well established in the Northeast, and
maintain the high standards necessary to provide your child with a happy and
meaningful experience. The camp directors are people of high integrity with proven
backgrounds of education in camping, and a full understanding of the needs of children.
The mature counselors have complete pre-season training, and are
ready at all times to guide your child to exciting new adventures.
Carefully selected programs based on the real needs and interests of the child, combining
land and water sports, creative and performing arts, and outdoor living skills, give the
camper an opportunity to enjoy individual and group expression.
The Berkshires are easily accessible from any part of the country. The New York
Thruway, the Massachusetts Turnpike, the Taconic Parkway, and other regional state
highways are ideal traveling routes that bring our camps close to you.
