Founded in 1937 and owned and directed by the Hoch family since 1960, Camp Watitoh is located in the heart of the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts, 3 hours north of New York City, 2 hours west of greater Boston, and an hour and a half from Bradley International Airport (Hartford, CT/Springfield, MA). The camp property consists of 90 acres of campus fields and woodlands, situated at an altitude of 1700' above sea level, on the northern shore of Center Lake.

There are separate campus areas for 100 boys and 100 girls, each guided and supervised by a dedicated counselor staff. The size of each age group assures every camper the opportunity to participate fully in individual and team sports and activities, and to maintain a family-like relationship with fellow campers and counselors. Head Counselors and leadership staff are teachers and coaches and are able to offer our campers a professional and inspired skills program. All Counselors are selected for their qualities of high personal example, fondness for children, and enthusiasm for the outdoors and camp life.

Camp Facilities include: Unparalleled waterfront on Center Lake with full range of swimming and boating activities, including waterskiing; Fieldhouse Gym for indoor sports and a separate Gym Building for gymnastics; Six Tennis Courts; Outdoor Basketball Courts and Hockey Rink with lights for nightime play; ample fields for all outdoor team sports; two shops for Arts and Crafts and Ceramics; and a Performing Arts Building for musical shows and indoor evening activities.

The camp season lasts fifty days. A shorter four week enrollment is also available. Visiting Day is the middle Saturday of the summer. The campsite is always open to be seen throughout the Fall and Spring months. The Directors will be pleased to arrange a personal interview and visit the home of families interested in Watitoh to discuss the camp program in greater detail.
