Highly motivated boys and girls design individual schedules every 2 weeks from 40+ activities. Campers mix tradional camp activities waterskiing, athletics, theater, art with our "Step Beyond" program.
The 2007 "Step Beyond" Activities include: Mythbusters, Guitar & Rock Band, CO2 Race Cars, Rocketry, Babysitting Certification, Digital Photography, Stained Glass, Game Lab, Woodworking, Electronics & Robotics, Movie Making, Cooking, Magic, and CSI:Hinsdale (Forensic Science). We are also having a major expansion of our Art Center to make room for more equipment, studio space and new classes.
220 campers, 110 staff. 20% of staff are parents. Two 4-week sessions. Limited 2-week options for first timers age 8-12. Family owned since 1968. 3 hours from NYC and Boston, 20 minutes from Lenox/Tanglewood. Our attention to each child and family sets us apart in the industry. Named as One of Boston Magazine's Best Camps, 2004.
This is a place where children are respected as individuals by Directors, Staff and Peers. Campers like to reinvent themselves here and often find bunkmates who are as bright, creative, open and enthusiastic as they are. We take our responsiblities as Directors very seriously and are eager to meet each family to learn how we can help every child have a successful summer.
